The only frustrating thing at the minute that niggles me with us is not giving Ryan Atkins a good ball. He recieves 1 and maybe 2 if he is lucky per game, this is not good enough at the min. This lad is a true athlete you can see it with his physique. I really do believe he is the best british centre in the country at the minute and I think he can run over most centres in the league with his strength. He can get a lot more tries so please give him a good ball to run on to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE !
The lad is a prime Whinos player we need to keep on to this guy he is definetly a GB centre and if he does not get picked MR Smith has lost his marbles.

Here we go again. Atkins is scoring virtually ever game, he gets plenty of ball and makes plenty of yards but defences are good this year and that killer pass just isn't available.

If your expecting Atkins to score the way Senior used to he won't. For one he is nowhere near as good, at least not yet and the game has moved on. It is also Atkins job to get himself into that position and again as yet he doesn't do it enough.

Atkins is a lucky lad in that he isn't IMHO a tactically great centre and still has a lot to learn but he is such a natural athlete he has plenty of time.

Don't worry about it.

I think he has been quality this year Atkins. Near the oppositions line if Ryan had a ball to run onto at speed game over against average centres, seriously. He is scoring every game but a lot of tries he has scored he has created himself. Tell you that killer ball he would get 3 a game no problem near there line.

I dont feel we get the ball enough to his side if im honest. But if we keep winning then i dont mind

atkins does a lot of work like a 2nd row in his own half maybe hes stuck in positions, i suppose if he stood there and waited for the ball to come he might do some damage as a centre but its not how the game is the backs try to help the forwards get a breather

Yeah, the best players all score 90 or so tries a season.

your right bloomers old bean with a 90 try a season centre we could probably do quite well

on a serious note ryan has been ace and looks a different player and as for ball distribution er look at our half backs / hookers now!

Ok, not wanting to have a go at any player this year 'cos they have all been terrific imho. Ryan has kicked on this year and is a strong lad who is a real handful to put down, particularly near the opposition line. Very happy with that.

But in terms of all round centre skills...when was the last time he put his winger away on a decent run?...I'm struggling to recall any time when Aaron got a decent ball which allowed him to show his pace and ability to beat men when put in a gap.

I like both Atkins and Murphy...but I want more. Hope they both progress in the red, white and blue 'cos they both seem genuine Lads.

Think with more oppurtunity and ball Ryan could prove his international potential! We shall have a good look where he stands on Friday while opposite another wannabe be GB centre in Yeaman
