This is why promotion and relegation should stay and licensing should be confined to the bin once and for all. Success for teams comes in cycles and it's results and effort on the field that should decide if you play in the top league or not.. This is the cycle for a resurgent Leigh club after years in the doldrums. Well done Leigh. Another great result before the Wiggin derby. Could very easily turn Wiggin over with this team spirit.

These from early this month when Leigh had just taken the points from KR’s midden:

Cokey is a minor prophet. Hessle Roader has not yet congratulated him but Bongser is doing so. No KR fans yet but yours truly received a text at 4.47 this afternoon from a KR fan that drinks in The Egerton (and accompanied Bongser to the Leigh v Bradford game last season) with the succinct word,

“Result!”

As the ablution department awoke Cokey in this hour, he read B&B's post here with a smile on his face (after his relief), he was happy to be reminded of his earlier post regarding the Hull result. Cheers B&B

One problem Lam has to sort out is being slow out of the blocks. Look at the half time scores in the 5 games so far:-
4-12, 6-8, 12-19, 0-12 and 8-22. To get 2 wins from these is impressive, but it can’t go on indefinitely, especially against a confidence team like Hull. We’ve got to get into them early like Salford did which knocked the stuffing out of them.

Did Lammy read this and tell the squad??!! They carried out the instructions to the letter- 16-0 up after 20 mins!! My only gripe was that they seemed to put the cue on the rack and stopped moving the ball to the left apart from the hat trick try, where Leutele and Charley were causing havoc.
The most satisfying moment came on the way back when listening to the radio Humberside phone-in, when a Hull fan called to say we bulldozed them in the first half!!

Did nobody on here actually go yesterday ? Ipape starts and Leigh start at pace blowing Hull away, Thaler kept them in it just look at Hulls opener, with some timely 6 agains on tackles 4/5. Great completion and great defence bar one slip for Hulls second. Team would die for one another and the fantastic support reciprocated that passion. Hulls fans were first class and good company chatting RL before and after the game

Did you not read my last post?? In fact one of the Hull fans called into Radio Humberside to say Ipape was the star of the first half although Lam ran him a close second.
Incidentally it was nice to see the Hull mascot run to the Leigh fans applauding them and us fans applauding him back, unlike Wolfie the Wire mascot who made distasteful actions towards us last week.

Hulls first try should've been disallowed due to a loose carry by Carlos Tuimavave going in a forward direction.
