Early days obviously but I've been pleasantly surprised by the signings in the games so far.
Caro - very quick and has looked confident
Walker - big, bustling prop. Looks like he should've been due a go at Hudds
Tuimavave - played long minutes in the last 2 games and looks solid all round
Paterson - likes the crowd and looks like he could have a big impact in games. In the Newton mould perhaps, also producing dangerous kick off
Eden - Dangerous with ball in hand but sometimes overplays it. Could do with work in defence. Not dissimilar to McDonnell tbh
Brown - Shaky start to say the least

Disastrous more like!He runs the ball from dummy half, plays the ball and blatantly didn't use his foot at all. Second touch of the ball, runs it from dummy half, plays the ball and blatantly does it again and gets pulled up for it!? An your like, why did he do that twice in a row

. I know you shouldn't rate a player on one game but he looks a shocker of a signing, BUT hope he proves me wrong!

Paterson - Looks beast

Eden - Excited about him, see how he goes week-in, week-out.

Walker - looks promising

Tuimavave - Looks to give 100% and looks solid imo.

Caro - This guy COULD be brilliant, if we can use him right.

Agree with all the above points, quite pleased with our recruitment, mostly done under the radar, add to this we have yet to see Burns and Gleeson and our squad looks pretty good for the level we're at.

Thought Eden was pick of the bunch. Very dangerous and the better of the two fullbacks IMO.

Eden vs Mcdonnell
No brainier for me, eden far superior player better all round alough a bit shaking defensively
Caro vs latus
Early days but looks Caro could push for starting spot after decent showing in friendlies,adds much needed strength in depth, I like latus gives 100% but not good enough at the level, but for me latus stays in front of brown
Walker vs clinton
Walker.at least he wants to have a good crack looks promising,could be a real find
Patterson vs galea
Galea was a class player on and off the field and IMO maybe another year could have been warranted,but after seeing Patterson play in the nrl and the way he seems to have settled in looks like he could be better then Newton, but time will tell
Tuimavave looks a good addition but only what I've seen in the past but as with walker better option then Clinton
All in all looks a more rounded squad with real potential to surprise a few teams

eden looks the buisness doesnt he , his the gaps like a gazelle in the serengeti

Don't quite think it was a set move as it was broken play but the more pleasing and exciting aspect was the improvisation and instinct by both players to turn a half chance into a try. Something which i feel we've lacked immensely over the last couple of seasons

Great vision from Dobson and a winger doing his job
