Could have Josh Thewlis at FB with Lindop on the wing, and Ratchford on the bench but not sure which way Burgess might go?

Burgess seemed to indicate Rathcford will move to Full Back so I'd agree with your selection - with Lindop on the wing. That assumes of course there are no bumps, bruises or tired bodies, no's 18 - 21 in that matchday squad are all capable of putting a decent performance in.

| Let's get Wrench in that ruddy team and have an attacking threat at centre. We could do with the pace as well. Weather forecast seems to indicate it's another game for Sneyd - hopefully with a different outcome.

| Looks a strong enough team and much will depend on how you respond to last Saturday`s game. Difficult to call but if we have Miller playing at FB I think we win this by 10.

| For all the kudos and cries of hard luck of Saturday, the truth is we were very lateral and blunt in attack.
We need Wrench to get a crack, and we need to start prioritising scoring points over the grind, or whatever the modern parlance is.
Ratchford, Tai, Russell, King and Crowther are not going to trouble the scoreboard too much.
However, I suspect it will be no change; Burgess is beginning to make Steve Price look positively reckless with his team selections.

| Does Gleeson still coach attack? That was close to our "best" 17 at wembley and it took an absolute fluke for us to score. We look disjointed with no structure or plan save for give it to Dufty to run at the centre and miss out pass.
Then I read we are extending ratchford and tai. Ffs.

| In fairness it took an absolute fluke for the 82 Kangaroos…sorry HKR to score. I agree though our attack is pretty dire and not entirely sure what Gleeson is offering. Burgess should’ve laid defensively solid foundations, that he could embellish with daring attack, by now.
Other than Wembley I’ve thought we’ve looked a little more enterprising with ball in hand without Williams.

I would think Gleeson is as good as it gets on attack. HKR (currently top of league) also only scored only one try very similar to ours. Did you notice the rain or has that passed you by? Think about your playing days ... it was never easy in the wet.

Think about your playing days ... it was never easy in the wet. I noticed the rain but my assessment of our attack was not based on one game - smart ar$e. 5th worst points for in the league gives a reasonable clue. You may remember 16 points at home vs Wakefield? 12 points at home vs hull kr? 10 points away at Wakefield? Nothing to do with my playing days which ended as a youth at culcheth eagles not that it's anything to do with the subject. I don't need to be a weatherman to know when it's raining. But you carry on thinking we are an incisive finely honed attacking side, and ill stick with my opinion we ain't (and I think a number of people share that view).

| We could excuse a weak attack if we were a stoic solid defensive side. But we ain't that either in 2025. 309 points conceded in 13 matches is ~24 points per game which is about double what GF winners concede* .. let's see how many we concede at Leeds ...
*Despite posting facts, please disregard this analysis as I have not played RL since I was 16 and then certainly not at the stellar level of fellow posters.

| So you've hardly played, never coached, never reffed ... as far as I know ... but why be so negative about Wire RLFC ... I don't get it. There must be something positive that you like. Could you give us a list of things you like about the club??
