Criminal that we used only 3 subs, should have had Seth on the bench and Rourke 18th man.
I said we looked lightweight on the bench when the team was announced and didn't see how we'd use all 17 except in an injury and you can't go into games like that imo. Having Rouke and just one Prop and one backrower was a bit confusing. As you say having Seth in the 17 would have made more sense today. As has been said, even though we're doing well to be in the grind till the end in these close games we lose, we're missing the meters of Caleb and Rodwell in the middle, let alone Stourton. Each game I bet most of us have got everything crossed that Big Mike stays fit, as well as Caius.Leigh played well and so did we once we got into the game and I bet for the neutral it was a great game of RL to watch, but these 4-point or less losses are starting to hurt, as well as becoming a bit repetitive so far this season. I know we're giving everyone at the top of the table everything they can handle, which is great considering how long some of our pack and Trueman have been out, but saying that, we've been in the position where we should be closing a few of these games out with just a little better composure in that last 10 minutes or so. If we'd have won just half of them this season, we'd be well in the top 6 and flying high looking forward to some of our forwards returning for the business end to push for a top 4.I'd have to watch the highlights but it looked to me that if Max dived for the line, his momentum would have carried him over, instead he stepped back on the inside and allowed the Leigh players to get around him holding him up. | | |

Not using all subs was stupid yesterday.
We really do need some bodies back in the middle, as I feel Mike and Caius is doing, the injuries are starting to catch up with those forwards that are still fit, as I think they're starring to look a bit jaded.
What concerns me, is that it's not as if any will be back next week.
Really need to start looking at Lingard a bit more, and maybe bringing one on on loan for s month or so.
Another concern is how easily we are getting opened up down the right, it's been easy metres for opponents for a few weeks now

A couple of Lino brain farts the difference really. One in the first jumping out of the line and the second the obstruction penalty giving Leigh territory for the last try. Small margins were finding ourselves on the wrong side of. Essentially two free hits coming up in Wigan and HKR, and I think we have a chance in both.
Let's blame Lino again ,give over .How about we are leaving Hood on the park two long ,Smith came on and we were a lot faster at play the ball ,same thing happend in the Leeds game ,how come Griffin is first choice in the second row, the guy is struggling to do 20 mins .The truth is we are not a top 4/6 team ,and there were times we could not match Leighs speed, ,especially in the spine .We are along way of were we want to be but can not fault the players for giving 100% I know you're Lino's chief of defence, but it doesn't change two pivotal points in the game. I like him as a player and he's been the consistent in the halves. I love his effort and enthusiasm, but you're right we're not a top 4/6 team, if we were, Lino wouldn't be in the team. | | |

Rourke was a waste of a sub, with him not been used.
As good as Mike M and Caius has been, I think the lack of fit bodies are now taking their toll on them, they looked totally gassed yesterday.
Really need some bodies back, and soon, can't keep this up much longer,
Alternatively, we could do to bring in 1-2 loanee props, or give Lingard a bit more gane time.
One concern is how easily we are being opened up down the right. Happened a few times in the past few weeks. Cost us yesterday and at Leeds.

Could be right about Lino not been in a top four/six team but think there would be 4 or 5 players that played yesterday along with him . The slowness of the spine over the first 10 yards is a worry against the big teams and is costing us big time .As for Trueman you could see he was not fit ,and did not take the line on ,played like Finn did when he came across from Cass ,but is not as good .Hopefully if Trueman gets game time, he could be come the player ,post on here keep telling me he is .Just happy to go and watch a team that have some big players out injured ,and are going well in the top 8 .Lot different from the last 4 or 5 years in S L | | | |
