Interesting read on the BBC website regarding changes in the world of RU.
They are changing the name from Premiership to Prem on the basis they say that is what the fans call it. News to me & I've never heard that at the Stoop. Most of my footy mates call the Premier League the Prem though. Hope they haven't got their focus groups mixed up. Think the potential move to franchising will stabilise the game although there is only a couple of clubs that actively want to be promoted from the Championship (or Champ Rugby next year) so almost franchised by default.
Apart from the impact of IMG's Grading structure, seems to me little progress is being made. If League wants to aim to get bigger corporate sponsorship & tv deals they need to get a move on. League failed to take advantage when RU was tearing itself apart before they went professional & it could happen again.
