With this and Matty Blythe both at Bradford, does that mean that they are now a 'development' club to the top 6 teams?

Really good signing for all three parties (Bradford, Warrington and Evans). He needs and is ready for regular Super League action and as things currently stand he will struggle to get that with Warrington next year. Further down the line though I can see him being an integral of Warrington’s first choice seventeen.

At present I’d rate just a smidgen behind Bateman but in front of Whitehead, Donaldson and Addy in terms of ability.

If you were signing him full-time on a three or four year contract I’d say it would be the best signing Bradford has made for a number of years. Only word of warning is that he has missed quite a bit of the last couple of seasons through injury.

He had a good game for Wales against France where he made 44 tackles. If an injury crisis happened next season can these players still be recalled to Warrington or does a season long loan mean just that ?

If so, I would agree. Evans had a strong end of season but (IMO) is not playing the same standard of rugby as Whitehead yet. I would quite like to have seen him play in the Championship for a year to give him time to develop. He is still very young for a prop and he has had a number of injuries. However, I suspect any loan opportunities for our 'U20' will be quickly snapped up in the current climate, and he has done very well to get a slot at a SL club.

Remember the days when we got excited if ever we picked up a 'cast off ' player from one of the 'big four'?
