Great to sign young players, unfortunately the article mentions he will be filling ray cashmeres place, so looks like another aussie to be signed and there will be further announcements in the next few weeks!

Don't know much about him with Wakey hardly on on the telly and only the 2 games against them this season. Young guy though with potential which is what MP has stated he wants. Hope he turns into a good un' for us.

I want to know where to look when we sign Michael Jennings

.. not trawl through 15 different topics titled ' new signing ' to find out it's a no name from east of the pennines ..

Narrow it down a little, that pretty much sums them all up

Before anyone starts i am not having a go at Gledhill and will be more than happy to give him his chance but for me i don't see it as a step in the right direction we have to many "young" players in the pack Neal,Jewitt,Sidlow,Adamson,Boyle,Spencer etc i don't see Gledhill as any different to these types of players i would like to see some experience added to the pack a couple of older forwards to show the younger the ones the ropes. I know people will be happy because he is "young" but the balance has to be right. Like i said i m not slagging Gledhill and will give him his chance but i just don't see him as any better than what we already have which isn't great i must admit.

This is just my opinion so please don't come on and have a go as i know some of you would like, if you have a reasonable response then im more than happy to hear it.

Let's see how he goes. MP says he will be "looking for" him to step up, rather than him being a direct replacement for Cashmere which sounds right to me.

Hopefully turn out to be a good'un.

TORD, I agree with you, not an outstanding signing by any stretch of the imagination. Filling big Ray's boots is going to be very difficult.

I will reserve judgement when I see the new squad as a whole. We may be losing some of our younger guys who have not developed to the expected standard, so the balance might be better than it looks now. Once we can see the whole group this particular signing may make more sense.

Let's hope so.

another ryan Boyle would do nicely.......rather than another another young prop we got from fev one kicked the odd goal (cant remember his name)

Not a massive signing, but I thought the same when the Sean Gleeson signing was announced. When he's fit, I now rate him as our best centre.

The article does suggest that Ray's going home and Gledhill is his replacement. Now I may be clutching at straws, but he could be a long term replacement if ray stays one more season.

Think it was Stuart Dickins? Though we let him go a bit early along with the ex Sheffield and London prop we had round about the same time.
