Theres a lot of talk around castleford that you could be takin one of our young half backs, Ryan Brierley his name is he is only 18 years old, just wanted to know if there was any truth in it ? I know mclennan and his agent (martin offiah) have had a couple of meetings but i dont know if anything has progressed since then. I would be gutted if this is true because he is one of the rising talents and my god he is a talent but i wouldnt be surprised, because ive always said were going to struggle to keep him. Hes very much in the mould of your own danny mcguire. Hope its not true but just wanted to know if you have heard any whispers ? thanks

He'd be mad to come to Leeds. Stick it out at Cas for another year and they'll be desperate for someone to replace Sherwin.

Leeds just got rid of a halfback in Ryan Gaunt, to Bradford Bulls, so I dont know why they would look at getting another one in.

Leeds didn't get rid, Ryan chose to go to Bradford due to there being a better set up and more chance of progression.

A better set up for him and other players who won’t make it to the Rhinos first team squad maybe. But the Rhinos have the best overall set up in super league.

If he wouldn't of made it in the Rhinos first team, why did they keep him on for so long? Chris Clarkson was about to follow him to Bradford until they made him Under 20s captain.

If an academy player can break into the Bradford first team earlier than the Leeds first team then I think that says something. Mind you Atkins from Bradford to Wakefield springs to mind for a counter argument. However we’ll never know if he’d make it into the Leeds first team now because he’s gone.

But the fact is he didn’t.

So he left leeds knowing his 1st team place was blocked to join Bradford and now he's there he says their set up is better!
He's hardly gonna say anything else is he??

Well if you look what was infront of him playing at 7 you can see why he didn't "make it" and at the young age of 19, would you be willing to throw him into a SL match?
