Rumoured to be signing this guy , plays in jouffret and saltys position who have been defensively poor this season, in defence of jouffret he's not big enough to play FB imo
Jouffret is one of the best half's in this division. JWH is the best fullback in the division. It's high time the coach backtracked and played these two in their proper and most effective positions.
As you’ve pointed out there’s no question that KE has done some great work with the squad but changing the spine just because Woody is bigger than LJ can now be seen as not one of his best decisions.
LJ at 1 can’t tackle any better or worse than he can at 6, if anything he’s even more exposed at fullback and regularly drops a few high balls which has clearly affected his confidence and performances at times.
Woody in the halves is often anonymous and is both much safer in D and much more potent in attack at fullback.
He admits things were poor against Toulouse so what’s to lose in changing them round and he won’t really know until he tries it.
Also playing Tom at 7 when you’re forced to is fair enough but not at the expense of having Hansen on the bench at the same time as Davies, they’re both small guys in rugby terms just as LJ is leaving just two other forwards on the interchange against the big Toulouse pack and when Douglas went off it left us with just one.

FWIW.I saw an interview with Wellens and he said he would speak to Kyle and ask him if Hurrell was required by him...hopefully he said a half fit Hurrell is no use send him to Swinton..Regarding Ritson does a former club have rights that overwrite a dual reg agreement ? havent read this weeks rules yet..
