Seen these on twitter, presumably they are photos of what's in the East Stand.

By all accounts the previous owners naively paid Morgan Sindall the full amount early in the build and now it seems MS did what builders do once they get their money. Cut corners and do stuff on the cheap!

Matt Ellis is now having to get MS to front up and fix the problems at their expense

I can’t imagine that the full amount was paid early in the build. That would be a strange move. There would usually be a percentage held back I’d imagine on completion.

That said, there’s been a catalogue of cuts and downgrades on the north, east, hospitality and outside area I think as well as what appears to be an abandonment for the refurbishment of 2 floor gym, cafe and class rooms in the south east. Added to that the electrical supply issues and the now water supply issues it’s honestly run far from expected.

Hopefully this is the last of the issues.

I can't speak with 100% knowledge of this situation, but have being involved in project managing the supply of goods and services to builds of similar and larger size/complexity for around 35 years and dealt with Morgan Sindall for the last 10 and in all cases, there are agreed timescales and milestones when funds are released/withheld and not once has full payment been made "up front" on any of those projects :thumb:

I certainly wasn’t including all builders and certainly not genuine honest tradesmen!
I should have put ‘some builders’

From what I've heard ME is seriously disappointed with the standard/quality of a lot of the work in the new stand and with the electrical and now water issues, it looks as though Morgan Sindall have now got some serious 'snagging' to do...
