| The strongest rumours seem to be around Green, Hall, Mason and Radford. From a Rovers perspective what do you think they would offer?
IMO...
[uGreen[/u seems most certain to be coming, but I know least about him. Murrell has done well at 6, but bringing in a 6 that can play 7 at least means it isn't season over if Dobson picked up an injury.
[uHall[/u I think is a gamble well worth taking. He won't be on a huge wage - at worst he'll provide better cover in the 3/4s, at best he could start to fulfill his undoubted potential as a top strike centre. Would probably be our back-up goal kicker too. Rumours that other clubs are interested, no doubt for those reasons.
[uMason[/u would be a much bigger gamble. Could go either way. I'm nervous about his (possible) signing, but I have to admit that if somebody else was signing him, excepting maybe Leeds and Wigan, I'd think it a coup for them. Mixed feelings, basically.
[uRadford[/u I do like him, he's solid. But could maybe get younger solid, cheaper? We need to include more young players than most to make up our club-trained quota, so maybe a bit more experience around the place will be good and he has plenty of that.

| Green - yes, good player, only young, a lot of time to develop.
Hall - meh. Stick him in the reserves and have him as cover, but don't want him in the first team before Welham/Webster.
Mason - Don't think he would have that much of an impact, although just having his name on your teamsheet is an advantage, due to his reputation.
Radford - I like him too. Out of FC's squad I would only take Manu and Briscoe before him. Great squad player, good experience and does a lot of the unnoticed stuff.

Believe it Sheldon!
The likes of O'Meley, Fitzgibbon, Houghton, Berrigan, Lauaki, Moa et al can't hold a candle to Radford.

| Mason would be the better signing out of those.
He'd increase season ticket sales and merchandise, get massive media attention and most importantly be a top player, very different to what hkr have now and need.

| I'm not a fan of the rumoured Radford signing especially not on a 2 year deal

i agree bigtime who ever signs mason in SL would have got a great signing from a media point of view and i think he'd do a very good job over here for any of the top 8 teams........ never thought i agree with sheldon
