| For those of you who contribute to the lottery which has probably been going around 10 years , £1 per week just to let you know none of the proceeds go to the club

| Why did the club give it's name to it then? Very odd!

| what I would like to suggest to the club is that they set up their own very similar to the way the WMC used to.
bare with me just an idea
while it may only be a small amount to win in return it could bring in coffers in other directions.
lets say we sold £2000 weekly which is half of the hard core support and we took £200 as the prize money, that could be doubled for being a season ticket holder and then doubled again if you in the stadium for the draw on the day of the game
that's £800 for just coming to watch your club.
What this does is opens up the thoughts of being a season ticket holder or even just coming to watch the game you can benefit.
It will be little profit to the club in lottery but could prove to be a winner

| Sounds like a good idea. I cancelled my club lottery a few years ago. I'd join a new lottery.

Sorry Snowie, I stopped when I read that.
Pie in the sky idea... we wouldnt sell 1000, nor would we have we ever sold 500.. so expecting 2000 per week is laughable. It really is.
Too many fundraisers within the ground would imo feel someone's taking the proverbial.:
- Supporters Trust
- Squadbuilder
- Gold Silver Bronze memberships
- Wisca membership
- Cards with (Home & Away Try Scores)
- Half Time Draw
- Lottery
- Programes
God knows what else there is.

| I think someone at the Club needs to look very closely at the Rhinos 4 Life Lottery (The recently re-branded Rhinos 2000) and think about launching something similar at Wakefield.

As well as £500 draw per week day, you get very good fringe benefits, with access to the Carnegie Cafe bar before games and the players Long Bar after the games. Plus free Ronnie's club membership for the kids, a season ticket price freeze, discount on away travel etc.
Leeds do membership all by Direct Debit or annual payment now as well (it is around £8 a month) and while I think £500 per day might be ambitious at Wakefield a £100 daily draw maybe heading to £200 as more people sign up would be a great idea!

Have to agree with that, also add on a huge economic recession and it simply won't happen. We need new thinking on this subject and some serious rationalisation. Also the new owner is enjoying some credibility but I suspect it will take time to heal some old wounds, not just those left by the last regime but those going right back to the 1960's - won't be easy.

I pay £3 every 2 weeks, the guy who collects from my house calls it "Wildcats".
The only reason I joined was because of Trinity, are you saying none of the money iv'e been paying over a long period as gone to the club.
If so I want some answers.
