| Agree with most of what has been posted BUT the winning try was a forward pass and they had already got away with one the tackle before. Officials do their job and we probably win . Small margins.

A couple of Lino brain farts the difference really. One in the first jumping out of the line and the second the obstruction penalty giving Leigh territory for the last try. Small margins were finding ourselves on the wrong side of. Essentially two free hits coming up in Wigan and HKR, and I think we have a chance in both.
Let's blame Lino again ,give over .How about we are leaving Hood on the park two long ,Smith came on and we were a lot faster at play the ball ,same thing happend in the Leeds game ,how come Griffin is first choice in the second row, the guy is struggling to do 20 mins .The truth is we are not a top 4/6 team ,and there were times we could not match Leighs speed, ,especially in the spine .We are along way of were we want to be but can not fault the players for giving 100% I know you're Lino's chief of defence, but it doesn't change two pivotal points in the game. I like him as a player and he's been the consistent in the halves. I love his effort and enthusiasm, but you're right we're not a top 4/6 team, if we were, Lino wouldn't be in the team. Could be right about Lino not been in a top four/six team but think there would be 4 or 5 players that played yesterday along with him . The slowness of the spine over the first 10 yards is a worry against the big teams and is costing us big time .As for Trueman you could see he was not fit ,and did not take the line on ,played like Finn did when he came across from Cass ,but is not as good .Hopefully if Trueman gets game time, he could be come the player ,post on here keep telling me he is .Just happy to go and watch a team that have some big players out injured ,and are going well in the top 8 .Lot different from the last 4 or 5 years in S L Nearly everything good we did came through Trueman. And he didn't shirk the big tackles either.

| Eastern Wildcat:
Rourke was a waste of a sub, with him not been used.
As good as Mike M and Caius has been, I think the lack of fit bodies are now taking their toll on them, they looked totally gassed yesterday.
Really need some bodies back, and soon, can't keep this up much longer,
Alternatively, we could do to bring in 1-2 loanee props, or give Lingard a bit more gane time.
One concern is how easily we are being opened up down the right. Happened a few times in the past few weeks. Cost us yesterday and at Leeds.
Think Rourke as Sub ,was in case Trueman ,had to come of because of back injury so Max could go to 6 ,If I am right do not like the decision ,

| Hindsight's a wonderful thing. If Trueman or any of our other backs pulled up, Rourke would have come on and we'd all be saying what a masterstroke that was. Got no issue with it myself. When we've had another back rower in that 17 slot, they often only come on and play a handful of minutes anyway. It's like buying travel insurance, not having an accident and being gutted you paid for the insurance.
Trueman had a steady game by his standards, but was still good. I understand why you're frustrated about his game time alegend - so am I - but to say he didn't take the line on isn't accurate. When Liam Finn joined us from Cas it turned a sporadic attack into a very good structured attack that spotted opportunities and took advantage of them, which is what Trueman does too. You seem to be obsessed with speed, but not particularly bothered about edge organisation, pass selection, game management and everything else halves do. Much like your obsession with Harvey Smith - he's going to be one hell of a player, but he loses almost every first contact he's involved in, and his speed doesn't make up for that. Powell knows that, which is why he comes on and off when he does.
The speed of our spine over the first 10m is absolutely not why we're losing these big games. Our defensive line speed is slower that the opposition's, first contact players aren't sticking, our PTB speed is slower, our kick detail isn't as accurate, and we're so low on front rowers that McMeeken and Pitts are playing nearly 80 minutes every week.
Yesterday was frustrating, but only because at times we do look like a top 6 team. I'm still loving being back at the top table with good crowds, and we're great to watch and competing every week. And perhaps most importantly, next season we'll be better and we'll ice these games. And 2027 we'll be even better than that. Never been able to say that as a Trinity fan.

| Some very odd takes on blaming the officals from the wildcats faithful. I thought Wakefield ahd the rub of the green with certain moments which lead to trys E.g Russell kicing the ball out of Nui's hands but the wildcat faithful with forget this. I thought Ref was fair not his greatest game as both teams had a few rough calls.
Wakefield are a great team this season and will be well in the mix for top 6 this season. Imo the best team won the game.
McMeeken was awesome against us
