Does anyone know when we find out who has signed from this yrs under 16s? and if so how many?

They can't be signed/announced until 1st July, but there will be a few.

I read on the other forum that the halfback Williams had received an offer from the Bull's and a couple of other clubs. Fingers crossed he decides to stick with Wigan.

Results suggest this current crop at under 16's are a good bunch, hopefully we can get the best of them signed up.

I think its midweek this week that scholarship players at u16's can be approached by another club with a view to signing for them.

I can see quite a few of this Wigan team being retained having seen them a few times.

they all went to a meeting 2 weeks ago with regards to contracts etc. i know this from being close friends of alot of them and from what ive heard most of them are getting kept on

With most of them being Wigan lads it seems likely that those who are wanted will stay

Just because they are wigan lads doesnt mean that they wont go for the biggest offer they get, so wigan need to be wary off that and make sure they keep hold off there best by not offering good youngsters poor pay.

Hope we can keep some of our guys too, can see Warrington come calling! Some of them look decent and probaby will make it.

Wigan will now offer the lads a decent salary, but it won't be top dollar. What they will do is offer very good incremental increases if the lads show they are progressing well. Look how many contracts have been ripped up and new ones put into place over the last couple of years.

dont know if im allowed to post this but what the heck, the person who i know has been offered a 3 year contract on minimum wage, now is that enough to keep hold when other offers are in the table?

Read what I posted above, if he performs than his contract will be updated. I know of one very good Superleague young player who took a big lump sum but got stuffed to a four year low value contract, and his club won't budge. Had he been at Wigan his contract would have been upgraded.

Just been talking to 1 very proud parent this morning!
3 year deal, not great money but as Rogues says incremental pay rises and New contract "If" they are progressing as hoped.
