| Was just on the verdict on SSN and Jenna Brooks asked him about the rumour of him going to Wests and he said he is here this season and next. Happy to hear him say that but then again we know what people say then do are 2 different things. rogues as posted on Redvee that Williams will be at the Tigers next year.

| Well we will see. I’m sure we have a clause that demands a certain transfer fee. If Powell can get a half back playing to a standard about 75% of the the current Williams standard then we will still be competing at the top. I think he’s young enough to see out his contract with us if he’s still playing this well in 2024 though. Then he can go and prove his worth over there.

| Wests sniffing around Pearce, why would they be doing that if Williams was in the bag?

We all know on here how adamantly right he was about GW going Wigan instead of Wire. He wanted to bet me…
I didn’t have the heart to take his money.

| A NRL club would have to pay mega bucks on a transfer fee to sign Williams during his current Wire contract and combine that with the wages that George would require too.
He is currently playing at an elite level and showed during the England World Cup games how good he is.
For 2025 season, when he would be a free agent, George will need to make his mind up whether he wants another go in the NRL, and risk upsetting his missus again or committing to an improved contract with us.

Couldn't care less to be honest. Our players being linked with other clubs (especially NRL) can only mean they are playing well and that is a good thing - I'd be more worried being lumbered with a load of dead wood that we can't get shut of.
Obviously, this situation means that Fitzpatrick and Powell must be on top of their game with regards to recruitment, but with how it's going this year with our new recruits, I'm more confident that can be done - I suspect that Powell knows what he wants with regards to what sort of player he brings in and it's not like we don't have the budget to back his judgement up.

Seems to be about as sure as he possibly could be that he’s staying here for 2024. I don’t know how Wigan and Saints fans could possibly be wrong though.

| KFP has apparently said that we are already in discussions with William re an extension, and since his last experience of down under didn't meet his wife's expectations ( or his in terms of the coaches treatment), I would imagine we have a good chance of signing him up.

Because they was sniffing around Williams first is my understanding.

I'm not totally convinced that Fitzpatrick and Powell are on top of their game with regards to recruitment. Were going in the right direction, as Dufty, Vaughn, Kasiano etc. DO want to play rugby for us, which massively helps. Things can change, and it's up to the coaching and other teams at our club, to keep everyone happy. It's a piece of cake when were 6 and 0, but challenges will come further down the line, and hopefully the vibe we currently have, will see us through any darker periods we encounter. Recruitment never stops, and we may have to replace the likes of Clark and Currie sooner rather than later. Six games are not enough to measure our recruitment in terms of a success.
