The franchise system isn't just based on following, it is based upon stadium, potential both on and off the field, the day to day running of the clubs and many other things. Not only that but Salford will, like any other team, only lose their licence if there is another team in the Championship that the RFL are willing to put in in their place. Now seen as little has changed in the Championship during the first few years of the franchise system and seen as we are getting a new stadium very shortly, I can't see us getting kicked out of the league.

Not only all that, but we have had several players renew contracts, including the overseas Daniel Holdsworth. They have all renewed for more than one year.....and when a player signs a contract there will almost certainly be a clause that says if the team leaves the league then their contract will be void.

It's an odd one for me, I've never been a fan if I'm honest and we've already got Broughton (who is a special winger IMO) and Gibson on the wings, I know Gibson wants to play centre but I'm not sure his defensive is strong enough for that. It's centres we should be looking at in the backs for mine.

well when we signed him i was also dissapointed with the signing but credit to calders who has suprised and impressed all the hull fans with a good 1st year picking up the fans player of the year award. but this season hjes only played bowt 4 games due to injury but is back now and hopefully will play on thursday. ill be very dissapointed if calders is released as hes impressed me but would be a good signing for salford very good signing.

how about phil bailey and cameron phelps again out of contract and out of favour and not looking like signing new deals would be good signings

Quota mate. We've already got Cashmere and Holdsworth and we're linked with Andrew Ryan and Luke Patten, although I'd be perfectly happy keeping Mark Henry.

Why would calderwood be a good signing for Salford?

He adds nothing to the team that we haven't got elsewhere from younger players.
