I think a lot will depend on what is happening with the CC when the latter games roll round....... the weeks before and after the quarters and semi's could be messy depending which teams make it through and what their priority is.
If we made the semi's for instance (BIG IF!) then you would argue then that the posibility of making a final would be more important than making the 8? Given the liklihood of winning a 1 off final is greater than getting to the GF, let alone winning it?
On league position, you could make a case for us winning all bar one of those fixtures, but on form and desperation, you could probably make a tangible argument for us losing all of them! If we EITHER make the 8 or get to the CC final, I think that is successful even if we don't then win either. BUT the nightmare scanario is we have a heart breaker in the CC and slip to 9th, that would be a disservice to our season..... But it is not how you start, it is how you finish.
