I have heard from an ex player that a new signing will be announced this week. I've know idea who, just something the guys been told of someone connected with the club.

It does sound like i heard of mates, aunties, cousin etc....... but I am only posting what ive been told.

I Also heard that Ben Hornby is also considering a new deal by St george/Illawara. At the moment British clubs will struggle to sign quality Aussies as the exchange rate is the wrong way round for them to make money and that Offshore bank accounts have been stopped.

I heard from Richard Wright last week (well, via the club website) that Kyle Wood's 1-month loan isn't seen a a permanent replacement for Sherwin and we hope to sign someone on a longer term basis over the next few weeks. Maybe your ex-player read the same thing?

Its just been on Ridings FM that Castleford are currently searching for Sherwins replacement and hope to get the right man soon. It did go on to say that while Kyle Wood had a decent debut, he wasn't here for long term

Orr is signed up, not heard about hornby, would be fantastic to have 3 halfbacks.

I feel like we're starting to go backwards signing all our old players like Jacko etc. Wonder if we'll re-sign Boyle one day?

Orr has proven this season he can still cut the mustard and control a game. Having him spelling with hooker means we have someone coming off the bench and providing fresh ideas and momentum (which is what we need!)

Plus, it's an extra body at half-back if the dreaded injury curse arrives.

Totally agree about Orr. If he can do a job at hooker for us we'll be laughing. Hudson clearly can't manage the whole game and we're poorer when he's off the field.
