So, Now the season is over and we are champions for the next 12 months i am sure i wont get beasted by the Mods anymore for asking who is with us next year for definate and who we are looking at signing, Do we have any inside knowledge of who we are talking to ?.

Nat has put on widnes site that we have signed Matt Gardner, Is this to wind them up or do we know this to be true.

Also is said Fax and Widnes have offered near identical deals to Jim Gannon but obviously he's a current Widnes player last few years but has the history with Halifax and still lives in the area, so could go either way really!

I heard we were talking to Jim Gannon a while back but as yet still nothing done, I think if it was identical contracts then he would choose us to be fair becuase we are nearer and always there and there abouts at the top of the league. Long wait now until things get announced.

I would drive Gannon to Widnes everyday if he signs for you instead of us. Liability and would bring nothing to the team.

Barlow is a tought metre maker who admittedly sufferes from a hot head. In the Widnes/Fax game at the Shay Gannon was Fax's best metre maker all night with his terrible tackling technique. In fact, we could pay him to play for you against us, would be the most effective use of the money.

MC & MH have more sense and more contacts in the game than to bring in Gannon, that would be a sign of desperation.

I agree, hope Martin Hall is putting some cash in too, between him and Calland they made some awesome signings, with Nash, Branno, Bannister, Holroyd coming back, Barlow.

Even if we cannot keep some of these boys, lets hope we can find some more like they did then, i am sure they are out there and clearly they know how to spot talent.

Would be dissapointed if Gannon was returning, never rated him. Pretty sure with MH/MC's contacts theres some promising youngsters at SL clubs that could be tempted with regular rugby.

Also hope Bannister pens a new contract as he was very good this season and will be even better next year.
