In a seperate article in the same paper concerning unrest at Batley, rumours concerning Paul Mennell again and additionally Garreth Potts were being linked with Fax.

I'm with you on that one.

Paul Mennell is a good tough hooker. One that doesnt need to stand out on the wing because he cant tackle.. Good distribution too.

Gaz Potts is the fastest player in the league. Fact. He can also cover full back and is good under the high ball. John Kear said he made the wrong choice when it was between him and Dale Morton for first team squad a couple years ago

Not another prop!!!!!!!! How many props do we need at Fax? We need at least one class centre that can draw a man and pass to get our wingers away and offer a plan B other than just bish bosh bash. We need 2 class hookers to get back to where we were with Penky, Beswick, Gleeson and where Fev are now with theirs. We also need at least one class halfback to compliment Murrell at 13 for me.
We have enough quality in the prop department thank you!

Paul has had a good season but the best years are behind him.

There is a definate trend at Fax for signing up good quality younger players who want to be at the club and Jacko doesn't fit that catergory anymore.

Mennell and Potts may or may not be additions but I would not have thought they would be classed as "significant" signings.

I was overhearing all sorts of chat at the game yesterday among which was both Thacks and Tiger are on their way to the Rams.

Just more rumour, who the hell knows??

Answer the Fax coaching staff and BOD, it will be very interesting to see how things work out.

I just dont think he is good enough to play for a team competing at the top of this league. You look at players like Finn, Kain, Brambani, Ridyard, and Thackery isnt in the same class. Its ironic really because he reminds me a lot of Brambani when he played for us in that he was bobbing around a lot but good judges realized he wasnt really that involved for all of his `action`. Brambani has matured in to a very good player though so maybe Thackery can too.

I would also say the same about Patterson, the Ashalls, Handforth in that they wont really let you down but are not good enough to be regulars in a team that wants to win trophies. Its a harsh game and a few of our players have been found out this year.
