Benefactor is probably a better term for anyone crazy enough to put money into a Rugby League. Investor suggests that there will be some profit/payback down the line.
Totally agree. Unless there is a hardened multimillionaire Wakey fan out there willing to lose a considerable amount of money investing more in our squad, to hopefully gain a better league positioning which would potentially improve our crowds.

Quite probable.
However, an initial investment in the squad should make is more competitive on the pitch. A more competitive squad could make for increased crowds, and possibly a bigger pot at the end of the season, if you still get prize money depending on where you finish. I do think crowds will increase initially when the upgrade is finished, though that would be temporary, unless you can engage the fans.
Furthermore, we don't know what extra revenue we can generate from the upgrade.
With those thoughts in mind, any investment could be more prominent at the start, and we may be in a better position to be self sufficient
They were incorporated into Tate Travel of Barnsley, now operating as Globe Holidays running Route no. 96 Wakefield/Barnsley et al.
Walking home along Ings Road after the game we would always comment to each other when the Stanley Gath Mob passed. It seemed such a weird name at the time.
Having plucked up enough courage to watch the Saints game, i'd love to be optimistic......but, wow it was bad. They must have coughed up the ball 7 or 8 times, then we returned the favour mostly! I wouldn't say they won at a canter, more of a trot, they bombed 3, didn't kick all the goals, so it could have been well over 50. We created 2 chances, Lino knocking on, then amazingly near the end, an overlap created!! Senior drops it. Seriously, I just don't know how we are gonna get out of this hole, we are just so inept with the ball. Obviously hoping something just clicks in the next 2, but if we don't at least win 1 of those, I fear we are gonners........

If that comes to pass, one win after 9 games leaves just 18 games to reach 20 points [What i think will be needed this season to stay up] This will mean winning at around once every other game left, or going on a remakable winning streak of say 7 games in a row plus the odd other win here and there. I'm usually a glass half full person, but i don't think the current squad have it in them to reach 20 points for the season. The only other thing that might save us,is if one of the other teams fighting it out at the bottom totally implodes, and we do one of our miracle last minute escape of relegation.

It’s all relative.
The reality is you only need to have more points than the lowest. That could be 10/14/16. That’s the unpredictability of sport.
