The fish rots from the Head - simple as that ! Adam has admitted he didn’t take a lot of interest in the past and likely not much now !
It’s like a badly run restaurant in Kitchen Nightmares where the owner has given up and microwaves the meals and the Head Chef (Tony) is trying to sell poorly cooked fancy French food for £50 a head on Gypsyville Est
It’s all wrong top to bottom
So for Friday - we don’t know how to score never mind win We’re not set up to win and we can’t defend Dobbins want it more as we seem to have stopped focusing on winning but rather producing some kind of woke team culture crap
I fear for the result as I’ve never seen softer tries than the ones v Leigh and Giants in the last 2 weeks
FC will have patches where they try hard but who cares ? They should try hard the whole damn match and that should be a given
All we need to do according to sofa coaches on here is Drop Jordan Lane and select Balmforth at hooker , then it’s happy days and book old Trafford in October. At risk of repeating myself .. Let’s wait and see when we actually get the main bulk of our salary cap on the field.

Who, apart from Trueman would make a difference if they were playing tomorrow?

Be lucky to see the main bulk of salary cap on the field as a fair few of are injury prone and the rest are ill disciplined. Trueman, Hoy, Tuimavave, Sutcliffe, Cator, Scott have all missed a lot of games for us through injury, Houghton struggling this season too.
Injuries are part and parcel of the sport, but we don’t help ourselves signing crocks. Coupled with the lack of S&C staff. However, the discipline side of things should have been sorted out by now. What looks like a lack of fitness won’t help, consistently making errors forcing us to defend for large parts of games will contribute too. Something that should have been sorted by now.
Season is over before our only natural half back is back in full training. If only anyone could have foreseen this …

Exactly, Walker and at a push Fash. But the rest … meh.
Walker - all energy, always around the ball but wince everytime he gets tackled Fash - better than the likes of Jack Brown but hardly a game changer Tuimavave - lucky to see a game out Cator - if playing 13, offers nothing Houghton wouldn’t and god forbid Smith tries him at 9

If and it’s a big if We could get our best17 team on the pitch for 80 mins then yes we could match most teams. Pele hadn’t played full game yet Ese hasn’t played more than one game yet Sutcliffe hasn’t played 3 games yet Okunbor has been poor unfortunately Cator Fash both did a lot of workmanlike tidying up defensive work . Nu brown playing out of position hasn’t helped either
I’m not the biggest smith fan either but his hands are tied with what he’s got. “ fans” constantly slagging on here calling local born players they are not good enough doesn’t do any good .. Posters like Bonaire & cuddle club are dobbins in disguise that are winding others up. Oh yes by the way I’m not adam or Tony , I’m just ut just a fan that supported the club for 50 years

I’m not the biggest smith fan either but his hands are tied with what he’s got. ALL COACHES hands are tied - all of them ! They make diamonds out of the rough - well the Very good ones do !! That’s what a great manager does - average to good Good to great and Great to world class etc
Smith has had a hand in a few signings and more Importantly who left
In his book, Ellis wrote: "What we struggled to eradicate was what I would call the ‘banter’ culture at Hull. It had existed for as long as I had been at the club, not just taking the mickey out of each other but, more worryingly, out of the values you pretend to uphold. At the top clubs, they know when the banter ends and the serious stuff begins."
And this :
Former halfback Jake Clifford had this to say recently about the standards at Hull FC in 2023. When asked on Australian radio if he could compare a pre-season in England and Australia, he said: “No chance. Pre-season in England was a piece of mickey really compared to what we go through here.”

I think I read a different forum to you.
All I've read is a desire to see Balmforth given opportunities on the basis we are poor in the area he may shine.
