I didn't think it was hard to understand, but it appears so for someone like you.
He wanted to go back to be with his partner, who father is very ill, Hull were happy for him to go, as it creates a quota spot and allows us to plan for next season. It didn't cost Hull anything and he has managed to get a contract for the rest of the season (which is maybe likely less than we are paying, knowing how tight the cap in for most clubs at this stage of the season) at club near his partner.
Don't sure what the big deal is, good luck to him, again Rovers having a great season and you are all over our forum, weird obsession some of you have.
It's worked out well for us in a way, With the relaxation in visa regulations for quota players, we could sign a player, before another club whose quota is already full
Right its all gone a little quiet on rumoured players that are likely to be coming over for remainder of this season, has anyone heard anything? AP made it clear we are looking at 7s and a 2nd rower and even maybe a centre, appreciate we are looking at top line 7s for next season but we need someone to come in for this year to make a fist of trying to salvage some pride.
Unsure on what salaries Nu Brown & Tex Hoy were on but cant have been pennies.
Even though Pearson indicated we're planning to make some signings this season, the priority has to be long term recruitment. If there's someone out there that is available now and fits that long term strategy, great. If there's someone out there as a short term option just to the end of the season, also great. But let's not panic sign anyone just because they are available and we find ourselves stuck with them when we know they're not a long term fit. We've got to move away from that kind of thinking. Take advantage of the fact that there's no relegation and take our time to find the right players for the club.
Definitely need some players for this season too, already weak and released two high paid players, I'd hope for 3/4 players with a mix of loan players a 1 or 2 long term ones.
We need to start performing better on the field to win back some trust, no matter who will sign for next season.
In all honesty I'd rather us get the head coach in place first before we make any new signings.
Long term ones definitely.
We aren't in a position to hang around though, need a coach appointed in the next 10 days or so, 1st May approaching and we can't afford to be behind other clubs in terms of internal and external recruitment.

Although it was only made official yesterday, we know Myler has already been doing the work for us and had a shortlist drawn up of candidates so I'm hoping things are progressing nicely behind the scenes in terms of an appointment. Someone else said it on another post (think it was also on another topic as well) but even if the coach isn't coming in straight away and we have to wait till next season, we need to at least get them signed up now to have an influence on recruitment.

Wonder is the shortlist started before Smith was sacked
