Some malarkey on other forum about 2024 squad. Any info? My view most of this squad are dialled in and. Good fit for a push next year. We can’t legislate for Norman Whare wanting French sun plus going Back to Southern Hemisphere but other than that I think we should pick up most of the squad.

Whare and Norman could get a gig with à french elite 1 team, first round of season this weekend, think most squads are pretty set.

Who knows, my assumption would be we have offered a deal, however he may feel he can get something better elsewhere. He would walk into the Toulouse or Wakey starting 17. The tone of the article seems to be he is on the look out for something else, so he might have already told the club he's going. Probably his last big contract so I guess it makes sense on his end.

As I said I don't see a SL team coming in for him. Not that he hasn't got the ability, but most teams will have probably already firmed up their squads for next season, even if the signings haven't been announced.

If we could convince Corey to stay by throwing a bit of Dean's money at him, I would take it as a win tbh.

I see we have re- signed Macani. I hadn’t seen that going any other way but with his upturn in form it is decent news none the less. A good team player I think.

Yeah I'm glad for him and he definitely deserves it. I was critical of him earlier in the season, but he has hit some really good form and found a process that seems to work best to his strengths. Having Dean on his edge has been a bonus and opposing teams seem to have stopped solely targeting him.

The other point I've only just been thinking about is the relative age of the squad. If you are looking at our UK born players and those we have brought through our academy, then Dalton is the oldest (33). The next oldest is Will (30). The core of the team we could have moving forward still has a lot of time on it's side.

Apart from the fact that anyone showing promise ends up at the outer regions of the universe. See Hodson at 26 has ended up at Cas. There is little evidence we will fight that hard to keep them.
