Announcements? : Wed Oct 05, 2022 10:08 pm
2 weeks since anything added to the website and to be honest most have recently been re-signings.

October, November, December and January are to me the months when the BACK OFFICE needs to be doing all the hard yards, so that come the season they are prepared. I wonder when we will discover if we have a new kit/kit supplier, sponsor, season ticket pricing, any "events" planned for next year etc...or is the Hockey season still in full swing?

Waiting for IMG to ring you isn't a plan BTW!

Hockey season started late Sept Orange so no joy there I’m afraid.
I assumed those responsible for social media were on leave. Better now than during the season I say which seemed to be the case early doors last season. In any event Skolars have kindly announced one of our primo new signings for the 23 season! Saving us the job. Happy days. I do hope they can push on getting sponsors it’s an important revenue stream and last few seasons seem to have made the job more difficult so if they some momentum there that would be impressive. As to ST....that will be genuinely interesting to see what they do.

It's probably as good a plan as they had last year though. :(

The club have now announced the signing describing him as a promising 30 year old

Let's hope he spent plenty of time playing rugby on the Gold Coast. This signing is a bit reminiscent of the 80s when all sorts of unheard of Aussies found their way to the club after the odd amateur game.

Can't find any record of his career down under.

In fairness it’s highly rated rather than promising. Like me you will no doubt recall that phrase used for quite a number of our L1 pick ups last year and I think many on this forum came to the conclusion that the person/people doing the rating were xxxxs. Anyway he’s here now, so assuming he plays let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and see if he can push us up the table. In which case it’s a master stroke. If not, another desperate signing.
I stand corrected Buzza it’s in the title. Wow that’s beyond parody.

Oh dear that's not too encouraging for a 30 year old.

Just seen the huddersfield 2023 kit. Not often I'm tempted by a "foreign" team shirt, but I am very taken with it. Would love to see London do something similar....

If we're looking at the same shirt, it's OK nothing wonderful. But as I've said many a time in fact almost as many times as you & your marketing, chevrons are outdated.
