Very good win as I had Hull to win by 16.
Shows what I know as I had Leeds United to win 3-1.
Pleased for Sinfield and Lisone.

Come on, Batley. They've shown plenty of bottle over the last three weeks when significantly down on troops against (on paper) far stronger sides. These lads do not lack for effort, they just need some real quality to support them.

Maybe I used the wrong word Arthur. What I’m trying to say is it would be great if they could win the next 3, but to do that would mean beating Wigan, Catalans and Cas. They should beat Cas, but the others will take some doing, and the bit I’m trying to get at is that they will need to hold their nerve when inevitably some things go wrong.

This side works relatively hard for each other, I agree, but they don’t do the little things that good sides do. We don’t push hard enough when defending, or back up enough when attacking.

Most of all, the thing that frustrates me about this side is that they are mentally weak. We lose games we should win, but don’t have the mental strength or skill to close out.

That’s what I meant.

Yep. Fair enough. I'm splitting hairs here but I wouldn't say they are not mentally weak, more mentally and technically deficient in some of the key areas of the game. Sadly that's something only GH's chequebook will be able to rectify in the short term. On todays game: Effort and execution outstanding given the limitations in players available. Lisone showing us fans that sometimes it pays to be patient. Smith showing that he's ready to be captain. Newman and Fusitua (always good when fit) ran really hard and direct. Sinfield nice and composed although he's still a couple years away in my opinion. All in all a great win, and a reminder (to me) of why I still love going to games.

After all my misgivings yesterday I thoroughly enjoyed that - the day out, the sun, the entertainment and the win. Perhaps it was the pressure being off (in my mind anyway) but today reinforced what a great game RL is, and how enjoyable an away trip is when there's no expectation (again, in my mind).

I took my son and eldest daughter today and had a great time. Language a bit fruity for a six year old but enjoyed our lads sticking it to Hull all game was funny.

I thought Sinfield had a really poor game, but I think he should come good in the end. I’m just being honest.

Fusitu’a was very good; I think we need to retain him if we can and hope for the best with injuries.

Olpherts annoys me every time he touches the ball, I’d rather play an academy lad.

Hooley was decent again at FB to the point where I’m not sure Miller was a priority compared to some other positions - let’s see what else we come up with.

The team generally is still so frustrating to watch, consistent brain fart moments every game where you just put your head in your hands. Errors and discipline keeps killing us; we get out of trouble because we do work hard and we do have some talented players but there is a lot of work to do still.

Anyway a great day in lovely weather enjoyed that.
