Steve Prescott MBE will kick off the Rugby League 'Touchathon' on June 29 which aims to set a new world record for the most people to have ever taken part in a game of touch rugby league and organisers have worked out a novel way of preparing participants. The 'Touchathon' will launch at 8.00am on June 29 at Eccles Sixth Form Centre in Salford and will run for 24 hours finishing at 8.00am on June 30 and to ensure that all participants are ready to go qualified Zumba instructors will be on hand to deliver warm up sessions. Hannah Paice runs a Zumba class every Wednesday 6-6:45pm at St George's R.C.High School, and will be one of the instructors leading the work out sessions. Hannah Plaice said: “Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements. This cardio-based workout is designed for everyone, people of any fitness level, and any age can start a Zumba class at any time.” Organisers are looking for people to don their boots for an hour each whenever they are available during the day to help us raise money for The Christie, one of the charities supported by The Steve Prescott Foundation.
