Rather McDonnell go and let Sheriff have a good go to be fair. Seen a bit of him after his injury and he looks strong and quick and excellent under the high ball (which I am told is his best attribute).

mcDonnell has improved over recent weeks, but he's not been anything particularly special.
Sheriff didn't look out of place in the few appearances he made last year and with a full pre season I think he'd be fine.
If Sandercock were to think he was ready I'd be happy with that.
One thing's for sure, McDonnell is no replacement for Greenshields.

Sherriff looked to small for s/l when he made his debut imo. It would be good to see him make it though, but I have my doubts.

I would like to see McDonnell stay but I know I am in the minority in feeling that. I know he is no world beater at fullback but he is very solid and is starting to link up better in attack with Dobson and Green now they are both playing.

Old McDonnell appears to have gone from zero to hero in the space of 3 games. I remain unconvinced with his defence but an admirer of his attacking flair (apart from that move where he runs all along the back line and gets bundled into touch on 1st tackle).
If he goes I would be more than happy to give Sherif his chance, I think the kid has a real future in the game. A suitable utility cover player would be required though. We only have Lois as cover at the moment.
