Shame about Eseh - really like him, but we could always schedule it for the year after if he has to stay at Wigan for a year. He looks to be really enjoying it here.
I agree about the forum too, its still mostly un-navigateable if thats a word. You go back a page and it all messes up
Its going to be interesting to see how Eseh pans out
Matty Peet has said that he is a Wigan player next season, but in reality he is still going to be 6th choice prop (Thompson, Havard, Walters, Dupree, Mago all ahead of him in the pecking order), and thats after us losing Byrne and Hill. Now at 21 / 22 thats probably not a bad position to be in, but he had loads of potential
If Wigan have only invoked the 1 year, then he is out of contract at the end of next season, so Hull could speak to him from December 2025. At that point, clubs will only be in pre-season, so Wigan have a decision to make based on his time at Hull and how he has performed in pre-season. Hull could be in a very good position to offer him a better contract than Wigan, similar to how Byrne and Hill have played out this season. Wigan may see the potential and offer him a 2+1 contract (just chucking out scenarios) but without the promise of guaranteed 1st team rugby, where Hull could offer the same, but with a starting 17 spot, and its then up to Eseh and what he wants for his career. 12 months ago, it would have been a no-brainer to stay at Wigan, but Hull have progressed massively on and off the pitch in the last 12 months from the apparent car crash that has been the last couple of years
