I was told the club are fairly confident Bell will be off quota next season. Cartwright wants Knight here next season and Knight is keen to stay. So think as long as the quota situation is resolved it?s likely he?ll be here next season. 


Re the quota system I think it?s something the game here has to go with to open up the player pool numbers. However what also needs to addressed on the back of it is youth development & academies as part of the SL requirement. 
The quota change shouldn?t be seen as a permanent one more a bit of a temporary arrangement until the home grown player pool has grown sufficiently. 

Hopefully one of them is Charles, he's far to good for academy/scholarship level. Needs to be playing against blokes.

Hearing that Ashworth could be off to Cas next year. 

His displays say he is hardly playing for a new contract so for me he is on his way out.

Don't think I'd be too disappointed in Ashworth going to Cas, he's been ok for us but he's got too many silly offloads and penalties in him.

Not too bothered about Ashworth, last year, spent half the season injured, this year has been hugely inconstant, one great game followed by 2 poor or average ones. He was also signed by Smith and Clarke, so based on their recruitment strategy, he is probably on a much higher salary than he is worth.


We do need another starting prop  (17) though happy with Hill, Knight and Ese Ese, Aydin and Fash ok for squad members, but need a better quality bench prop, hopefully Eseh, but if not , we might need to pay a transfer fee, Rovers have shown it's possible this week. I'd love us to test Hudds and made a bid for Wilson.
