https://wiganwarriors.com/blog/2025/07/17/wigan-squad-for-hull-fc-slr19/ Hill to probably replace Makin in the 17, Marshall named so it's two from Marshall Douglas and Wade for the wings, rest more or less picks itself but I agree with other posters on previous threads about O'Neil being very lacklustre these last few weeks, maybe time to give Forber a run off the bench.

| Hopefully Marshall is good to go. Miski being out again makes you wonder what we were doing playing him at Leigh. They got him an op to get him sorted once and for all and then seemingly rushed him back. To think Eckersley sat out that game only makes it more baffling.
I'd put O'Neill on the bench this week I think and tbh, I think I'd keep Makin in over Hill for the next couple of weeks and get him some experience. This will probably be the last chance to do that before the end of the season and he's likely to move up a spot or two next year, so I'd take that chance why we have it.

There is no way Marshy should be playing, he was nowhere near fit at Leigh and I can’t see a week off sorting the problem out. We need him an Abbas firing when it matters not further aggravating their injuries.

| Wade once again looks like he’s a competition winner, when in defence & under the high ball.
Get the useless experiment gone.
Douglas isn’t this much a liability.

| Wade should be released tomorrow but once again the pack have been totally bullied out the game. Time to see what Peet is made of

he reminds me of the first time Charnley was catching the ball in the same position .(Wire, I think) Was sussed out early on & targeted no-end. Charnley got good, I seriously doubt Wade's got the sort of game brain league needs. Saying that, he wasn't the only one playing like Sunday amateurs. Given the crocked list, I'm not sure we'll see the top half of the playoffs (if at all) unless som't drastic happens soon. The French will be rubbing their hands for next week.

| For me the most worrying thing from the game was not the poor individual performances (and some were bad) but the lack of any obvious game plan both in attack and defense, the players looked like they had no idea what they were actually trying to achieve. I dread it when we get on the opposition 20m line because we look so lacking in any idea of how to break a defense when it is organised.
We look so off the pace in all aspects of the game - so many individual one out plays and stupid sloppy errors many caused by players either not reading the game or not being in good position and organised. The coaching staff need to really step up because if we keep playing like this we will not have a chance in the play-offs (assuming we get there) becuase many other teams look like they are really starting to find form.

| We'd have lost to Salford playing like that and that's not meant to be disrespectful to Salford

| We've been dire for weeks on end now. This isn't new. The team looks unfit, clueless and playing with zero enthusiasm. We're it not for a good run early in the season, we'd be staring down the barrel of a gun. I don't understand how we can go from arguably our seasons peak, the first half of the Vegas match, to this utter shambles. I fear there is more to this than meets the eye.
