I agree with you as I'm sure most would. I'd say a top class centre is essential if we are to move forward as a club and dominate like we used to. as IL stated though, there are none on the market so I just don't know if it'll happen.

According to a Hull fan on here last night we have signed a new player called Sam TomPkins - perhaps he is the world class centre that we are looking for?

We've got some quality youngsters coming through so it's important not to overlook them. I agree though a centre would be a good buy especially if George does decide to retire.
Is it Hoffman and Finch who are going back to Oz?

Until we know who's staying and going signings are so hard to predict but i'm sure we're looking at Maguire said that on Radio Manchester last week.
We've hopefully got plenty of irons in the fire ready for making our moves when things become clearer. As much as we don't know for sure if guys like Carmont, Hoffman, Deacon and Coley are staying i'd guess the club have a much better idea.

didnt IL state at the fans forum that we were looking to turn Joel into a world class centre in the mold of Senior???, if George stays......we dont need a centre.
i would be looking for a scrum half who can make the plays, allowing Sam to stay at 1, and tommy at 9

Not sure that somebody can be turned into a world class centre and also as they are a rare commodity we should be looking for Carmonts replacement now even if he does stay another year !
