After last nights very disappointing display , like most on here im gutted , it will take me a while to get over this , but i will ,ive heard it said on here this morning how players wont sign for us , well your WRONG.

Spoke to 2 players this morning , not Leigh players , wwho have both said they are interested in signing for us ,one has given me his phone number , and asked me to pass it on to Trevor Barton , or whoever is in charge , they would both be good assets to our club as players , and i will pass the numbers on if the club is interested.

As with everyone else , im gutted but as Frank B has said no matter what , i personally , will be buying a season ticket for next year as soon as they become available , and will continue to support the Club ,and raise funds for the Club in any way i can , this is the time to stand up and be counted YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU,dont desert it ,we WILL survive .

We had a reputation for paying average players over the odds, those contracts are all dead.
We need to look at the 20 year olds being dropped from SL clubs locally to form the nucleus of our side in 2012, mixed with the Gouldens/Taylors/Nichos/Hopkins etc and a couple of minders to mix it up. Pace must be a priority and if you were available young and ambitious would you sign for Leigh or Swinton/Rochdale/Oldham . No disrespect to the others but their attraction would be money for the journeymen.
We have a fantastic playing surface, stadium and training facilities. We are the biggest club in the North West outside SL - we will attract a good team with the right coach and a board with vision.

Maurice , i dont think the big money is around anymore ,these lads wouldnt want big money , one of them has been offered a deal by Fax , and its nothing , also another is only about 19 or 20 anyway ,it to me depends on who of ouir current squad we decide to keep next season , and who departs.

I know a good young lad whos on Salford s book reserves and is looking for a contract for next season.

Looks like he might be at Swinton next season Lynda' I was chatting to him last night.

My friends from works son has just this week finished a 3 year contract at St.Helens he is 19 and looking for a lower league club to join and hopefully play a part. Anybody have any contact numbers he would be worth while ringing that I could pass on??

I know who you mean Lynda , he could be OK , again it depends on who we get as coach .

Swinton have offered him a contract but hes know Gary Eccleston very well and so we should consider him, he hasnt signed yet for anyone.

This time next year we will be saying RIP to Swinton if the rumours are to be true on who they are signing.

The honeymoon period is over folks. I would personally prefer a good young coach and a team full of willing young workhorses under the age of 25.

Next year will be one for survival, but young ex SL players should be looking at Leigh as a filip to get back into the big time.
