i think hull will do really well next year, they have got a high quality squad and when hull play well they can beat a lot of teams. They have made some quality signings.

Lynch, and?
I hope the people predicting a Wembley appearance for Hull FC are proved correct. I'd be straight down the bookies that day - Hull's results at Wembley are more predictable than a Pope's choice of religious denomination.
They've made a lot of changes and also have another 12 players out of contract at the end of this year. Of the signings they've made, four are questionable on the grounds of age/ability and discipline. Richard Horne has always been a player with lots of ability, but has always finished up being a big letdown. It looks like more of the same for me with another big turnover of staff at the end of the season.
Thats odd I thought I made another post on this thread earlier but it isn't showing up.
Ah well to sum up I said I thought 7th-10th for Hull.
Top six will be some order of Warrington, Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Hudds, Catalans. I would be surprised if another team breaks into this as there is a gulf between these and the rest.
That leaves two more playoff places for the other eight to contest. You can split the other eight into two rough groups: Castleford, Hull FC, Hull KR and Bradford who will probably be fighting for the playoff spots, and Salford, Wakefield, London and Widnes who will probably be the bottom four.
In the Challenge Cup the four semi finalists are usually three of the top teams and one surprise package who has got there through an easy draw. The four of Cas, the Hull clubs and Bradford are a fair bet for being the surprise package team. Most of the time this team will lose the semi as the top clubs prioritise the CC semi at this point of the season but there is history of lower table teams causing an upset in the semi: Hudds v Leeds 06, Catalans v Wigan 07, Warrington v Wigan 09. In all those clubs cases they were clubs 'on the up' and gained in confidence after their cup final experience.
I can see Hull making it to a CC semi if they have a good draw but I'd be surprised if they could beat one of the top teams in a semi this year, I think their squad is quite flaky.
