It isn't the stadium that is apply to be a host venue. Its the town as a whole.
All bids are Local Authority led and clubs/stadiums are partners to the authority. That is why WBC has partnered with Bovis Lend Lease (Golden Square), The Village Hotel, Park Royal Hotel etc.
That is why the council beleive that it can bring £2.3m of expenditure to the town. Surely, yes, the stadium is probably the biggest factor. But the framework for bidding for host status is more complex than that. Lets just how the RFL stick to it though, unlike the license framework!
