| Tackles himself silly but offers absolutely nothing going forward, hits the line and crumples. Isn't a ball handler either so you don't get that to offset his lack of size. Is he worth his position on the pitch week to week?

| Love his work rate and aggression, defends really well, but i agree his attack just doesn't have the punch as he is lacking size. Alot of the time attacking he seems to look like he's getting ready to hit the floor before he's made contact. Put Holroyd in Russells body and we'd have a pretty big aggressive second rower.

| I like Adam Holroyd. I don't think he is a "Strike" second rower but he is the sort of player that will never let you down. I reckon he is the sort of player that is greatly appreciated by his team mates. He is probably not on bucket loads of money but in my opinion there is no RL player that is paid what they deserve. We signed an NRL second rower and Holroyd has managed to work his way into the starting 17 ahead of Russell so I would guess his work ethic is unquestionable. Still only 20 years old and I still think there is a fair bit of development in him. I wonder where the likes of Angus Crichton or Liam Martin were up to in terms of their progression at the age of 20. Not suggesting he will achieve that sort of level but I do think he could have a decent career in SL hopefully with us as a key part of a successful team where the bulk of players have come through our youth system alongside the likes of Hayes, Lindop, Thewlis x 2, Wrench, CTW.

| Wont we have to start spelling Holroyd (being under 22 years old) throughout the season as he falls in the 2000 minute a season rule?

| He can play longer than 40 minutes without getting injured, so that puts him ahead of fitzgibbon.

| Currently not good enough to be a starting back rower for a team who wants to win honours. That said he is a young player who will continue to develop and is an excellent squad option - glad to have him on board.

| I honestly don’t know on this one, don’t think I have made a comment on him.

| Holroyd reminds me a bit of Tyrone McCarthy. Smaller end of the scale but full of guts and courage, particularly in defence.
I think the gamble of Russell not paying off has done him a favour by getting plenty of minutes again this year, but ultimately I think we’d love a bit of strike on the edge. I wouldn’t mind him as the “third” back rower, and would be cheap to keep around. I just think he’s a few years away from reaching his physical peak.

John Bateman has a similar physique to Holroyd and has been very successful in Super League and the NRL.
Holroyd will be a great player for Wire and should replace Fitzgibbon when he leaves us.

| Surely, his best position ,until he bulks up ,is on the shoulder of the ball carrying half or hooker to make use of gaps in the defence ,but his defence is unquestionable.

Average gain : 5.42m Meters per game : 32 Tackles : 260, Missed Tackles : 33 (11%) 0 breaks, 0 offloads. Clearly he needs to develop physically as he is only 13 stone*. I hate seeing him bringing the ball out from our 10 and getting smashed and pushed back. He is courageous, enthusiastic, and has a great engine but he's not yet a starting 17 player for a side allegedly aiming to win the league. * https://warringtonwolves.com/players/f8ab17a0-1ef0-11ed-882d-3304d7b7806b/
