| What a result today! Massive credit to the lads! Winning away at an in-form Doncaster side is tough enough, but to do it after picking up 3 injuries to key players mid-game shows serious character. Robinson's cheap shot on Lilley when he was already carrying a knock says a lot about the kind of player he is. Grub. No need for that in the game. Credit to Lilley for getting back up and carrying on.
Huge shoutout to Souter, Michael and Lawrence for putting in the extra minutes, real engine room stuff and a testament to the fitness levels across the squad.
I felt our forward pack won us the game and put us in decent territory to give the backs an opportunity to create some space. We started the game like a house on fire and grabbed 2 quick fire scores to give us an early lead but Doncaster never went away. They had some serious pace and caught us out multiple times when striking from deep within their own half. When we went behind, we didn’t panic, we dug deep, showed real resilience, and turned the tide in our favour during the final stages of the game.

| Yeh that Connor Robinson tackle was poor, nothing tough about tackling a player being held with a blind site cheap shot. Little grub deserved to be on the losing side.
You could pull that performance apart and talk about some dodgy tackling at times but it was full of character. I thought when we lost Gill and Donno early that we would need a decent lead heading into the final 20. As it was, we had to find a way to get back into the game with some very tired bodies.
Excellent fitness on show and with a calmness that we haven't always seen from this side. I thought Keyes really pulled the strings for us today and Meadows did well at fullback - I assume covering an injury to Hooley?
Another 2 points ticked off.

| Have been trying to reply on this thread for ages. This site is almost unusable now so am trying to remember my password to TotalRL.com.
Might be time to move to a forum that works.
On the game I thought we dealt with the adversity of losing three players really well. Some great efforts from the likes of Lawrence, Hallas and Souter.
Think we made it a lot harder for ourselves than we needed. Some soft contact in defence a few times led directly to tries. That lad Gebbie was brilliant with the kick returns. I bet Okunbor has nightmares about him running around him.

| Apparently Hooley will be fit enough to return for the next game and Holmes isn't too far off. That will be welcome as Lilley didn't look too good. Did Donaldson do his knee or ankle? He knew straightaway he'd done something serious. No idea what Gill did and losing him isn't good given the lack of cover (Liu back in now?) and he was struggling for form as it is.
It's the fans forum next week, might drop by and ask a few questions. Is anyone else going? What would you be asking if you were there?
I'm interested in where the club think they are in the IMG rankings now compared with other clubs. We were behind Toulouse, London and York last year IIRC. Toulouse likely to be top 2 and York getting to the 1895 cup final is going to ensure both clubs maintain their points tally. London likely to drop a bit. A return to SL looks unlikely if the current rules remain in place. How sustainable is the club if these conditions remain in place?
