| Ok, Not seen it mentioned anywhere else to comment on, so hate to be the one to bring this thread up.
I am a big pusher of playing the kids and will not move from that, and also go by the opinion that inexperienced players will make mistakes and you just need to stick by them, and look at the positives they bring.
So that said, could someone please provide me with a positive for this lad from yesterday? because I am struggling to come up with anything. I can honestly say that I don't think I have seen a worse performance form a Leeds debutant, but I might be going too far there and will hopefully stand corrected from someobdy?
I can handle a dropped ball, a missed tackle, a wrong choice of run, as usually you can latch on that positive of Looked fast, or looked powerful, or complimented the team well. But when you show no pace, no tackling ability, poor under the high ball, and drop passes straight to you, questions need to be asked.
Please folks give me something to look forward to with this lad, because I really want to.

| I've already said on the "match report" that Elliott looked very nervous but i will also say one of the knock on calls against him when there were 3 in the tackle looked harsh to me and the Tansey penalty was pathetic because the kid did nothing wrong.
I agree it wasn't the best debut and i will say he's looked much more assured at u20 level so maybe the occasion got to him just to add we've seen seasoned pros make the erorrs this lad made and worse so lets just hold back on burning him at the stake.

| I thought he rarely went looking for work and was found on the wing after a kick return from Webb/Hall

| He could be another Tom Bush I'm afraid. What position does he normally play ?
Thought Wilson would have been the one selected ... Or Chisholm.

| And if the kid is stumbling around on here and finds such a positive thread, that will do his confidence no world of good.
In rugby terms I can see where your coming from, but I don't know if it deserves it's own thread.
The lad had a tough one, but if it's a positive you're looking for, he still looked for the ball to drive it in. He could be shyed away but he didn't.

Really? I have to be honest and say that the Bush performances I saw were a million miles ahead of what I saw yesterday.
Like I said above, with Bush at least you could always comment on a positive that he delivered. Even if it was "We all love Bush"

| He only made 2 mistakes. The dropped kick that he managed to clear up and the dropped pass when he came inside. He wasn't bad though and came in looking for work a lot. I mentioned in a thread before the game yesterday that if he played outside Delaney he wouldn't receive a pass. Well, as far as I remember, he didn't. You can't blame the kid for that.

| Once upon a time, wingers could make their debut and get away with doing zilch. Today, wingers are required to do a lot of grunt work in the early plays of sets, and I actually think George did that quite well. Despite his size, he didn't lose that many collisions.
But it seems as though some have already made their mind up. Heaven forbid Stevie Ward drops a ballock on his debut.

I'll accept that critisism. Like I said on the first post, I did look around everywhere first and did not want to start to the thread. That said though it needed commenting on.

Ok, so we are starting to get some positives. Have to say I must have watched a different player to you yesterday though, so maybe I am wrong and will accept that if so.
But I counted more than 2, as well as the walk in try he dropped from a pass, and the poor defence for the first try that should not have been given. Also would add that the came in looking for work bit, only started to actually happen after the first 30 minutes when Sinfield had a word with him, but accepted he started doing it.
