Ryan Boyle is out for the rest of the season after being told he needs a knee reconstruction, while Nathan Massey will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after undergoing ankle surgery and Dan Fleming has a back injury.

Boyle missed the first two months of the season with a knee injury sustained in the last match of 2013 and re-ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Tigers' win over Wakefield on Good Friday.

Boyle said on Twitter: "Absolutely gutted that my season is over after working so hard to get back in time for most of this season.

"It will be operated on in the next few weeks. I will be back in October for a full pre-season with the boys."

Coach DaryllPowell said: "We're struggling a little bit up front. In terms of big men we are a little bit light.

"We'll be announcing a new signing in the next couple of days which will strengthen us up a little bit."

Wonder who the new signing will be!

I was told in the off season that we had, all but, signed jewitt for this season so wouldn't be surprised if it was him.

I would love it to be Bailey from Leeds. He would really shake it up for us IMO. I know a lot of Leeds supporters who don't just see him for his work rate and graft but his football skills as well. A player all rival supporters love to hate - a bit like Samson or Barry Mac. It could be just what we need.

I think when DP says "announced in the next couple of days" - it means tommorrows Cas & Ponte Express !

Whats Jewitt up to these days ? Last I heard he was at Bulls.
