It is hard to see this game being anything other than a tough one. We have a poor record there plus our form as fallen off a cliff. Team wise Crooks who is our only centre is out until next month who will play there one of the Grahams possibly hopefully not Nofoaluma put him on the wing with Johnson on the other for me. I would go with McComb and Brad Graham at centre and get McCarron in the second row with Tangata and hopefully Douglas might be back if not he is not too far off. Finally for the love of god Kyle put Woody back to fullback and Louis in the halfs now is not the time to be stubborn. Score wise 30-36 to Fax and a few more gray hairs for us fans but 2 more points on the board fingers crossed.

As all above a real tough one, but then again the old saying “ There isn’t an easy one “ applies all the more in the Championship this year, partly because of the strength of the comp and opposition and partly because of our recent form.


See another dual reg signing from Saints has joined the squad so that gives 3 hookers and at least 3 loose forwards to fit in.


Given up on team selection with the Woody and LJ scenario accept to say no one else would play them that way round and apart from Kyle the only ones happy about him doing that are himself and the opposition coaches and players.

Coming home from the Oldham debacle I wasn’t thinking a couple more loose forwards are what’s needed here but what do I know..

Having never seen so many players playing out of position, after the Doncaster and Oldham games I was thinking where our next win would be coming from but only having half a brain apparently whatever you know is twice as much as me but only a quarter as much as Kyle. Lol.

Another new recruit today..big bustling prop or damaging centre...please...

No,just another kid but great to have Douglas back in contention..

These young lads might turn out to be good signings for us but like as been said they play in positions we don't need to strengthen.


In the week Jack Teanby leaves York for the cougars he could of done a job for us. And Josh Hodgson who was a good centre for Batley now a cas player joins the Eagles on loan. They are just a couple of examples of players who would improve us without spending a fortune but I get the feeling that Kyle prefers young academy super league players over proven championship players, he will learn the hard way if he doesn't get the balance right.

Unfortunately this is what we have become. A vehicle for SL clubs to use as a means to give their young lads and injured players game time. Such a shame!

Glad they missed that last gasp kick so your 600th wasnt a losing one..on balance we were lucky to get a draw though.
