Really good appointment for you men, would have him back at the HJ in a heartbeat. I also think he will sort Connor out for you, he certainly turned Briers round for us.

Does Connor need sorting out?
One of our best performers, theres a fair few players who need sorting out apart from Connor.
I find it intriguing fans looking in always thonk Connors thr problem, what do you make of Taylor, Shaul, Houghton and Groffins performances

I think Connor is seen as being key to any near-term success Hull might have and still at his peak. There’s also a perception that Connor’s not great under pressure or when the going gets tough. If Smith can change that perception, there’s still a sense Connor could become a more valuable asset to the team. It’ll be interesting to see if Connor starts to tone down some of his pantomime villain stuff - I’m not sure Smith will be keen on that and he might think it a distraction.
Appreciate the two mature replys, some good points there.
I do personally think Connor gets frustrated with the lack of professionalism and effort around him at times and cant blame him, but as i say theres a fair few players who needs sorting before you get to tweaking Connor.
I think with some proper attacking structures from Smith and discipline instilled he l thrive
Hopefully the former. The lad certainly has talent but think there’s question marks over attitude and discipline. Prefer Cameron Scott personally. He looked in great shape when he came back for the last 2 games and looked like he had put a bit of size on too. Often wonder how he would have gone had he not picked that injury against Salford because he was outstanding before having to go off.
And so Jake, by far our best player, is on the way out ! That's just like when we lost Tevita Vaikona, Lee JAckson etc What a crazy decision if he goes

It does feel like that doesn't it? But, if Jake is adamant that he won't sign beyond his current deal it does make sense to try to cash in on him now, in order to be able to sign players that could offer the team a more balanced look. Either way, I'll be gutted when he does leave, given us some great memories and always wound up the opposition, often without trying!
