I reckon there will be a few Hull fans eating Humble pie in regards to McIntosh next season. We’ve seen from Cator and Griffin how difficult it is to come back from an Achilles rupture.
I reckon with a full preseason and a consistent centre inside of him he’ll be a top performer.
I think if we’re been ruthless/ want players developing we need to see the following players leaving the club
Tag (if we can bring in two props) Griffin (sadly he’s finished) Shaul (games evolved) Severs (on loan for game time) Barron (on loan for game time) Hookem (on loan for game time) Balmforth (short term loan) Litten (short term loan)
I’d also think about moving swift on. He’s some player but it’s a salary cap sport and we have Macintosh, Mitch, Litten, Barron, Martin, Scott (debatable) and Wynne who can play on the wing.
Might be a few raised Eye brows but for my I think Wynne is a winger not centre. He’s got pace to burn, knows his way to the try line and good in back field. I also think we can manage his temper a little bit better out wide.

Hopefully we can sort a deal with Wakefield for Shaul and be good of the Taylor and Leigh rumour is true. Griffin's agent was touting him around clubs before Smith's appointment but could now have changed with Smith saying everyone starts with a clean slate.

Poaching leaving Wakey might scupper that shaul move. I hope it doesn’t as I reckon he’s on a fair whack. I think Leigh will be sniffing around for a few non quota players which will hopefully benefit us.
My worry is, i think we’re a decent back rower and prop short. If we let tag go we need to find two props. With one quota spot available can we find a back rower and two props. I’m not sure.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we signed Will Maher as he’s an ex Tony smith Player and a bit of a money ball signing. Then maybe a prop from championship. I still think we should have a tug at Jack walker. Leeds struggling with cap so will heavily subsidise I think
In: - Will Maher (not exactly an exciting signing) - Ebon Scurr - Ollie Holmes (subsidised) -Jack Walker (subsidised)
Out - Tag - shaul - griffin
And i reckon we would still have a small amount of cap space for someone like Longstaff if we can get him
All seems rather quiet at the club at the moment, no signs of pass/membership information yet. Anybody aware of when these usually get released? Be interesting to see if they’ve managed to strike a deal with SMC regarding match day prices etc

Always willing to give a player a second chance in year 2, especially with the prospect of a clear run in pre season. I felt like he was very conservative and afraid to back himself at times, maybe down to doubting himself after a bit of a horror injury last season. His defence however was more of a concern, saying that, our defence out wide has been notoriously weak even prior to him joining us. Maybe a change in coaching will provide improvements in that department
