Why would i know what he earns? I have every reason to believe what i've been told is true given who it has come from.
However much he earns is irrelevant. He was offered less money by Clark, he turned the offer down and was offered a better deal at Catalan. The club then came back with an improved offer but he turned that down too.

Swift will be a big loss as his work rate on and off the ball is exemplary but we can't compete if he wants to move back to Lancashire.

I'd be surprised if many RU teams are or will be splashing the cash considering the financial state of the sport currently.

I agree Chris, its probably more to do with the moving back to Lancs rather than big increase in salary
Its a pity because he is the only real pace we have in the team and has been outstanding this season.
Very difficult to replace.
Playing Litten on the wing is not the answer and the rookie coming in from leeds is also not the answer.
We have gone from needing 2 second rows,2 front rows, and now in addition 2 wings and a nine are necessary.
Its a pity because if the club dont get it right then the decent spine we are building will be totally wasted

Satae is an interesting one, he is our best prop on his day, but are those days consistent enough to warrant a contract on better terms? I think for as good as a player he can be, he is replaceable, I would equally be happy if he stayed FWIW.

As for Swift, a very tough act to follow, probably argue he's one of the most under rated wingers in the league. I'd like to think the club will look to bring in a player of somewhat similar quality, however the pool for that is pretty small.

I think we will need two hookers if Houghton retires.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

If so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back at St Helens.

Think he’s been a real standout this season and as Bonaire mentioned he’s one of the few in the squad with any real pace.

It’s not irrelevant?

We can argue that his performances haven’t merited the salary he is on (depending on what that is).

Therefore, offering him reduced terms is very fair and it’s his fault he is leaving albeit to a team who value him more.

Not that long ago a large percentage of fans wanted the whole squad released :?:

I'd guess we'll sign an aussie 9, with a punt on a champ or young hooker. Corey Johnson and George Roby are both OOC this season and could be seen as a gamble worth taking

I think Mcnamara will be staying and used as cover for 9 next season as well as in the halves.
