Good value for it they were too.

Could easily have scored more to be fair.

Wouldn't read a great deal into it though, Hull KR did gave a lot of kids on show. One first glance I noticed there was no Coote, Lewis, Parcell, SKD, Hall, Minichello and Linnett.

That's a good result for Fev. They were expecting a big following from Hull too so I bet it was a bit tense in the car park after the game.
A fair few 1st teamers in that HKR squad so they shouldn't really have been nilled. Shame that the two ex Wakey lads didn't turn out.

I agree not read too much into it but to get billed in a friendly is not the best start

The nilling is the key. You’d want to score just to prove your systems work.

That said I expect Fev to be the hardest of the three pre season games, they love beating us

Fev will certainly be up for it next Sunday and, as always, will give it their all. Looking forward to it.

The Rovers squad for 2023 is: 1 Brandon Pickersgill, 2 Luke Briscoe, 3 Chris Hankinson, 4 Craig Hall, 5 Gareth Gale, 6 Johnathon Ford, 7 Riley Dean, 8 Craig Kopczak, 9 Connor Jones, 10 James Lockwood, 11 Brad Day, 12 Elijah Taylor, 13 Jack Bussey, 14 Matty Wildie, 15 John Davies, 16 Junior Moors, 17 Gadwin Springer, 18 Josh Hardcastle, 19 Luke Cooper, 20 Mark Kheirallah, 21 Joey Leilua, 22 Dan Fleming, 23 Caleb Aekins, 24 Matheiu Cozza, 25 Thomas Lacans, 26 Tyla Hepi, 27 McKenzie Yei

Thats a pretty handy squad.

I think we had a soft underbelly last year and last years friendly against Fev showed that. I listened to Tanginoa last week speaking about how training was an issue last year due to its lack of intensity etc. Hopefully we’re a different animal this year.

Re: Good result for Fev : Sun Jan 22, 2023 9:25 pm
seems like Fev picked up a few worrying injuries in the last two games... given they are only a week away from the first championship fixture of the season ,,, and I would hope we are beginning to ramp up intensity

it will be interesting to see if they play it safe or go all out in this game?
