You mean on the North Terrace?

Back in the day I was usually one of the yobs in the South Stand, then migrated to North Terrace when south area was cleared, then moved to southern end of Western Terrace until we got cleared for the away fans. Have been in North Stand since it was built.
Hate sitting down for the games.

Sorry I mean the new east stand when built. I’m happy to be part of new era at trinity and help fill out all 2500 seats with home fans. Should be a fantastic atmosphere if we can fill it week in week out.

When I first started going I think around 96/97 for as long as I can remember we have been in the northstand. I remember the atmosphere being much louder than it is recent years too and fans with better singing voices lol.

Think we sat in the east stand for 1/2 seasons but then ended up back in north stand.

You did have to pay to get in the South Stand via turnstiles at the back but there was a special free entry via the toilet block if you had thick skin on the palms of your hand.

Fantastic images.

You can clearly see the East stand shape now from the foundation blocks. Gives you a real idea just how big it will be and why it cost so much.

This will catapult us from late Edwardian to the 21st century and boy did we need it.

Also demonstrates just how much room there is at the South of the ground and for me why the North terrace only needs the limited upgrade it's getting. Yes the West terrace needs a spruce up but the next big money maker would be a new South stand, but that is some time off, obviously.

Sorry but I'm almost giddy.

Saw that the footings had been dug last week, concrete poured means steel isn't too far behind. Also saw scaffokd around the big screen area on Saturday.

Very exciting.

I just spent an hour of so looking at the images… comparing them to the architects drawings on the WMDC portal…

Waited since 1975 to see this… and I’m 13000 miles away… giddy by proxy

Yep, not talking out of turn here but the framing will go up next month. Thanks to the dry weather I think we've had a real break and the foundations are in quicker than expected allowing the steelwork to go up. You probably know better than I but I believe it's the laying of the concrete that is most affected by the weather.

If we can get the cladding/roof up in the new year, then we should be on time fingers crossed.

Biggest shame is that due to no fault of our own we won't be able to open the new stand at the first game of the season. That would have been a great grand opening. Never mind.

Getting out of the ground is one of the critical points, the weather is turning so as you say its great to have got this far before a mudbath ensues. After that its the lifts that could be affected in windy weather.
