I’m not sure if we can put much faith in artists impressions, sorry the ones you have posted have little resemblance to the Architect plans submitted to Planning approval. I will accept that sometimes things don’t always go according to plan. Once the new terracing steps are in place and the, then the front roof installed over seating area, all will then be revealed, just a few more weeks before that happens.

The first one IS the architect plan lifted from the planning portal just after building commenced… the second is from the architects web site… just to clarify I have spent decades consulting with architects and designers on safety in design for public assets and facilities… I do know how to read designs and navigate planning portals…

As I said the design may have changed recently … but at the time of planning approval and commencement of building… that was the roof design…

I know those directly behind the north terrace are closed, but last season i remember going in those right in the corner next to the Donny Road turnstiles. They were still open and are identical to the ones further along the north terrace. I would describe them as grim and thats complementary.

However its all down to money and as we both know . Although we have made a good start there is so much more that needs improving. Toilets are probably not at the top of the list right now.

It’s not just about money I don’t actually know what’s planned tbh. But my argument is why build something state of the art that might end up getting knocked down in ten years time. The state of BV could be very fluid in the next ten years depending on success, politics or who’s in charge.

Football is full of stadiums that had millions spent on them in the 90’s only to be replaced by new stadia or rebuilt again, see Liverpool, Man City or Tottenham.

So for me adequate will do on the north as for me it’s a work in progress.

In my experience of stadia development it’s not always how much money you have but how and when you spend. It’s very easy to get sucked into the vanity of it all, I know I do. But in truth you don’t need state of the art though it would be nice. You actually need fit for purpose.

BV will be that from now on, especially if we can improve the west terrace. Yet nobody would call it the Wembley of the north. But no one will care if the games are good and the atmosphere is loud and passionate.

So I’d like access to basic sanitary toilet facilities but it doesn’t need to be anything more than that. If I do I’ll definitely move to the east stand :D

As a matter of interest, we once had a brand new toilet block at the side of the boxes, I never went in but by all accounts they were clean and modern. Then someone had the bright idea to turn them to a micro brewery, which is now closed. Is this building now redundant.

The problem now is that the improvements made just highlight how poor the rest of the ground looks. The situation in SL now is such that we may believe how good the redeveloped areas look but it is not the supporters they have to impress but IMG and their rating factors.

One - money!!!

Two there are no 100 year old urinals in the ground. Those on the west terrace were built 20 years ago. The pee against a wall ones behind the north east were shut down yonks ago.

the east stand clearly all new.

The only issue regarding the North stand toilets is what level we go to. I’d favour some new or good second hand modular units as we had before. The reason being that the North terrace is not a finished structure - it will be revisited at some point, so keep it basic for now.

Toilets are not an issue in my book so long as there are some.

North west toilets are still in use by the turn styles maybe not 100 definitely built in the 50 s

Who is going to volunteer to check this out? I'm at the other end of the stadium so can't say for sure.

I didn't notice before if they had already done it but there are steps up to the top tear of the North Stand now from the lower deck. Think there were 4 lots.
