i dont know if its me , but the diagram of the seating plan (tunnels are in different positions) and the photo seem to be slightly different . i don't think it makes a difference , but is there a reason?

You’re right, by the looks the tunnels are in different positions to the diagrams. That’s curious indeed. Wouldn’t that alter the inside space too?

Anybody know the reason for the changes? The tunnels are more closer to the centre.

Hope we aren’t losing any more inside space as a result of more cuts etc. we’ve already had a whole host of scale backs to this point.

There will be seating at the front - not added yet, due to access requirements.

The tunnels come out, then you'd turn left or right to go up the stairs into the stand.

Unfortunately the stadium is suffering like everyone else who is having building work done. 3/4 years previously we would have had far grander ground improvements , but it is what it is and I’m thankful we have a complete new side to our ground and upgrades to some of the rest ,and can’t wait to park my backside in those new seats

So am I and I can’t wait to get in there but that’s not what I asked. I understand the reason behind the changes (I hope the club have questioned each one of course). Requesting breakdowns for costings you can sometimes find any discrepancies/mistakes and challenge accordingly or cross reference with pricing guides etc. What I wanted to know was why the changes in plans on the east. Why have the tunnels changed location as surely that would alter the inside layout?

If there are changes then there’s various things to consider such as fire evacuation plans etc.

But do we know why the tunnels have moved further central into the stands?

I don’t know how to transfer images onto a post, so click the link
This link was the last one released before building started.
https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/onlin ... ab=summary

Click Documents(19)
Click on July 27 2022 documents icon.
The proposed East Terrace plan does explain in red the changes from original plans.
Click on July 07 2022 GA floor plan level 0, this shows layout at ground level. There are changes from original plans but mostly positioning of Toilets etc,
Hope this helps

Thanks, that makes sense now. It’s a real shame that we have lost the roofing on the fanzine area out on the north east side of the stand. Having a roofed area and columns would have been useful for some pre match entertainment etc potentially. I’m surprised there are only 2 turnstiles on each lobby area. Hopefully these will be automated ones too where you have to scan in for quick entry.

Not an update as such but the East stand construction is now on Google maps (April 2023).

Can anyone tell me if the seats have started to be put in the new stand. We were told when we bought our season tickets that April was the scheduled month for the first section.
