I also think the flats are fine. They get some stick from many fans of other clubs but I am sure if they actually watched a game from there ,they would appreciate they are quite good.
I also think the rollin shack has improved and is also a good part of the ground. However 'shack' is a bad name , couldn't they have thought of something better
Describing the West side as a bit rough does it justice, I think it's terrible. It would be a massive improvement if that monstrosity of the portacabins was removed. I have seen better looking buildings knocked together out of old rubbish on allotments.

Initially phase 2 of ground improvements, The intention was to rename the Rollins Shack to Community Hub once the interior had be fitted out with the upper floor becoming a gymnasium for public use, and the legends bar refurbished to a cafe. The lower floor showers, changing rooms, and retail office space. I’ve no idea if that will happen now as we see the ground redevelopment cut back due to spiralling costs.

What makes you doubt that the south east hub will happen? That’s a bit of a stab in the dark. As far as anyone knows it will be going ahead as part of the development.

I think it’s very important that the gym/cafe etc happen as it will give the club much improved training facilities and the connection to the community. Can’t see it not happening.

I would have thought the fact that new seating has been fitted in the shack is an indication that the project will get finalised.

Simply because of the amount of cutbacks to the initial plans to the redevelopment due to costs. I do hope the recent shares scheme and the buy a brick (with a twist) scheme which I still believe will happen in the very near future, will raise considerably the funds to complete the initial ideas.

Seating has been installed, but it's not new.

I agree that IMG have to be impressed but I'm not sure about the "rest of the ground".

Once the area is tidied up at each end of the east stand, I think it will look grand. Yes, the west stand is a bit rough, but the flats look fine, and to some degree are quite iconic. For all the talk of how wonderful Headingly is, the west stand there hasn't changed in decades. The Hull KR ground looks great in parts, but the two stands along the side are looking jaded, and there's nothing there for about a third of the ground. Salford is nothing special apart from one really good stand (I say that with the caveat that it is a perfectly good ground). Wheldon Road is a classic old school ground, but it is poor in comparison.

Will we still have the worst ground in Super League? No. Not at all. In fact, when you take out the grounds that are football stadiums too, ours comes out quite well. When IMG are tucking into their vol-au-vents whenever they are invited, I'm sure the overall impression will be positive.

I certainly hope that’s not what it’s used for. The council, developer and club contributions should cover the works. Supporters shouldn’t be paying that shortfall with this new scheme if there is one which presently is only being suggested on here.

The share scheme is for additional projects to move towards grade A and team building I think it was.

Think the community hub work has been mentioned in the past that it will certainly go ahead as tied to the council 2million money which was linked to community engagement. From reading and listening to interviews I get the impression having a full gym with machines etc in there was never set in stone but more of an open plan multi use space. That’s just my opinion and guesswork though
