A few years ago walking up to Belle Vue a friendly Trinity fan started chatting and said this would be our last visit to your stadium because you were moving to a new all singing all dancing stadium.

He really believed it but it wasn't to be.

This time maybe it really is our last visit at least for the foreseeable future. I sincerely hope not.

If and when hopefully Ellis comes on board he’s not going to want to fanny about in the championship too long im sure , and that’s no disrespect to those that do , but he’s got the financial clout of the big hitters in super league and as such would surely want/ aim to emulate those teams that are successful as apposed to languishing in the lower divisions . The man’s a winner in his business ventures why would he want anything less in his new venture . Yes I know it’s going to take years , but we have to start somewhere and now is the perfect time to sweep the decks and build for the future. We have a half decent stadium now in the making with room for improvements , a cracking pitch , facilities on the up and a chap in charge with money to burn , what could possibly go wrong !!!! . Seriously I’m more than happy with the position we find ourselves in , and feel it’s going to get a whole lot better moving forwards . This season has been our rock bottom and the only way is up

Well that’s another strange team selected for tonight. I guess some will be happy at no Lino but why not play the French winger. I guess if it is his last team selection it pretty much sums up the season.

Maybe he's prioritising players who are here next year.

Pleasantly surprised with that line up. If it is based on who's here next year, then it would suggest Lino is off, or more likely he's injured. Interested to see if Dagger and Gale can recreate the Salford performance, although without Fifita driving the pack forward they may not have the platform. Looking forward to seeing Smith get a shot. Heard good things about this lad, big step up for him bit still, it's a change from the same old we've seen most of the season.
